Kagoshima's only sake kura, ageing its bottles inside a gold mine.
Satsuma Kinzan Kura, launched by Hamada Shuzo in 2012, is the only sake brewery in Kagoshima — a shochu prefecture through and through. It matures its sake at low temperature inside the tunnels of a former gold mine and brews junmai, junmai ginjo and daiginjo suited to Kagoshima's warm climate. Tours and tastings are offered at the Kinzangura.
