Kenten's Furano project — 86 casks already sleeping, a distillery to follow.
Furano Distillery is the new distillery project of Kenten Jitsugyo — the company behind Akkeshi — in the Furano district. Trial maturation began in August 2021, and as of March 2025 the Furano warehouse holds 86 casks, roughly 24,600 litres. Alongside releasing Furano-matured whisky, the company is advancing construction at a new candidate site, targeting operation in fiscal 2027 at the earliest.
