A public-private craft distillery on Daisetsuzan snowmelt in Higashikawa.
Tankyu Distillery is a publicly built, privately run craft whisky distillery in Higashikawa, Hokkaido. Using 100% Daisetsuzan subsoil water and the town's sharp seasonal temperature swings, it obtained its whisky licence in 2025 and began single malt production, with craft gin beside it.
