The Story of 余市蒸溜所

Yoichi Distillery is where Masataka Taketsuru built Nikka Whisky's first distillery in 1934, on the site he judged ideal for whisky making. The house still practises coal-fired direct distillation, a rarity anywhere in the world, producing the powerful, thick malt whisky that defines Single Malt Yoichi. Tours can be reserved.
