Since 1877 — 土佐町, Kochi
A Tosa-cho house since 1877 that mills terraced-paddy rice and Kochi's own CEL24 yeast into internationally decorated sake.
Tosa Shuzo was founded in 1877 in the village of Tosa-cho, Kochi, where it makes its Keigetsu brand. The kura favors rice from local terraced paddies — including the 'Aikawa Homare' label — and brews Junmai Daiginjo with Kochi's own CEL24 yeast strain. Its sake has been recognized widely abroad, with honors from the IWC, Kura Master and the Australian Sake Awards.
