The pioneer of soba shochu, with an open kura in the forests of Aya.
Unkai Shuzo, founded in 1967 in Miyazaki, created the soba (buckwheat) shochu genre with its flagship Unkai and extends the craft through imo shochu Kobiki BLUE and barley shochu. Its honkaku shochus carry no sugar, no purines and no artificial sweeteners. The Aya Nature Kura visitor hall in the forest town of Aya and the Shusen no Mori estate open the craft to travellers.
