Daisekkei — once the Imperial Household's chosen sake, brewed in Azumino.
Daisekkei Shuzo was founded in 1898 in Ikeda, at the foot of the Northern Alps in Azumino. Long loved under the names Kikyo Masamune and Seiko Zakura, it took the Daisekkei name in 1949; in 1953 it placed first at the Annual Japan Sake Awards and was selected to supply the Imperial Household Agency. Its sakes are brewed with Alps snowmelt water. The Kamon Daisekkei direct shop serves visitors.
