The Story of タイセー秩父菊水酒造所

Taisei Chichibu Kikusui Shuzo has brewed in Chichibu since 1629, a history spanning nearly 400 years in the mountains west of Tokyo. Alongside its sake, Chichibu Kojiro, the brewery makes a broader range of drinks, including Ryudon, a sweet-potato shochu aged in whisky casks, and umeshu plum liqueur. Guided by a philosophy of holding to tradition while continually pursuing new possibilities, the brewery keeps expanding its lineup beyond sake alone. Tours of the kura itself, however, are not open to visitors.
