Since 1863 — 福生市, Tokyo
In Fussa, west of central Tokyo, one kura since 1863 brews both sake and craft beer under the same roof.
Ishikawa Shuzo has brewed in Fussa, on Tokyo's western edge, since 1863, producing Tamajiman as its flagship sake. The brewery later expanded into craft beer as well, making Tama no Megumi and TOKYO BLUES alongside its sake line. Visitors can tour the kura, eat at the on-site Italian restaurant housed in a former beer hall, and buy directly from the brewery's own shop, Shusera — enough under one roof that the property functions almost like a small sake-and-beer theme park.
