Deep in the Okutama valley, a 1702 Tokyo brewery built a whole hillside of tasting rooms, restaurants — and an art museum.
Ozawa Shuzo has brewed Sawanoi in the Okutama valley of Ome, Tokyo since 1702. Beyond the kura itself, the brewery has grown into a riverside destination: guided tours, a tasting hall, several dining spots, and the Gyokudo Art Museum all sit on the grounds. Tours run most days by reservation, ending with a tasting and an original sake cup to take home.
