Founded on funds from the Tsugaru domain lord himself, this Hirosaki house has brewed since 1685.
Kaneta Tamada Shuzoten was founded in 1685 in Hirosaki, Aomori, after receiving brewing funds directly from the lord of the Tsugaru domain — making it an official purveyor to the clan. The brewery still stands in Hirosaki's Motomori-cho, brewing its flagship Tsugaru Jonkara alongside Hana Ippu. The house has carried the Tsugaru region's character through more than three centuries of continuous brewing.
