Founded in 1900 in Kurume, Fukuoka, Takamasamune brews the Chikusui line of sake with an emphasis on domestic ingredients, and offers a hakari-uri measured bulk-sale service. Its Junmai Ginjo is made from domestic rice polished to 60% or below, and its Daiginjo is polished to 50%. The brewery has also built a strong reputation for its barley shochu, including gold-medal wins at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition (TWSC).
