The Story of サワマチ蒸溜所

Sawamachi Distillery is the whisky project of Rita Farm & Winery in the Sawamachi district of Yoichi, which began partial distillation in autumn 2024 in a converted warehouse. Its stated aim is whisky of 100% Hokkaido origin — Yoichi-grown barley as the main ingredient, with Hokkaido mizunara casks in view. The operator's official guidance is that visits are not accepted.
