An Ebina brewery that grows its own rice under JGAP certification and bottles nothing but junmai sake.
Founded in 1857 in Ebina, Kanagawa, Izumibashi Shuzo runs a full farm-to-brewery operation, growing its own rice through to finished sake. The house makes junmai sake exclusively, and its environmentally minded rice farming holds JGAP certification. At Shuyukan, its visitor center, guests can taste (for a fee) and buy sake year-round; reserved brewery tours and tasting sessions are also offered, with English information available.
