Three centuries between the Chikuma River and Mt. Kokuzo, in Ueda.
Kutsukake Shuzo was founded in the Genroku era (1688–1704) along the old Hokkoku highway in Ueda, Nagano, in the land pinched between the Chikuma River and Mt. Kokuzo. With more than 300 years behind it, a young owner-toji now leads the house into new styles of brewing. The Sato no Kura direct shop serves visitors.
