The Story of マルス駒ヶ岳蒸溜所

Mars Komagatake Distillery, opened in 1985 by Hombo Shuzo, sits at 798 metres at the foot of Mt. Kiso-Komagatake in the Central Alps. Cool air and fine water feed a versatile plant — including wooden fermentation vats — that lets the house brew a wide palette of malt whisky styles under the Komagatake name. Tours by reservation take in the vats and stills, with tastings and limited bottles at the visitor building.
