A hand-crafted Bungo-Ono shochu distillery that lets barley speak for itself — and, since 2022, brews craft beer too.
Founded in 1929 in Chitose, Bungo-Ono, Oita, Fujii Jozo distills entirely by hand, producing Taimei, a barley shochu made to bring out the grain's natural sweetness, aroma and flavor with minimal interference. In 2022 the distillery began brewing craft beer as well, expanding its range beyond shochu for the first time.
