The Story of 磯千鳥酒造

Founded in 1880 in Satosho, a small town on Okayama's Seto Inland Sea coast, Isochidori takes its name from the plovers (chidori) once seen flying over the shore near the brewery -- a scene of local beauty its founders wanted to honor. The kura brews with quality Okayama rice, including the prized Omachi variety, for its flagship Isochidori label. Its rice-and-koji amazake even earned a place on an NHK BS1 program's list of "eight amazake to drink once in your life."
