An Okayama drinks maker where craft beer has topped a national contest 13 years running, alongside sake and whisky.
Founded in 1915 in Nishigawara, Okayama City, Miyashita Shuzo has grown over roughly a century into a broad beverage maker. Alongside its sake, sold as Kiwamihijiri, it brews the craft beer Doppo, which has placed first in the craft-beer category of Japan's national alcohol contest for 13 consecutive years. The company also runs the Whisky Okayama distillery, marking its 15th anniversary in 2026.
