大典白菊
Since 1886 — 高梁市, Okayama
A Takahashi River brewery since 1886, marrying 100% Okayama rice with Bicchu toji craft to bottle the region's own terroir.
Shiragiku Shuzo was founded in 1886 in Takahashi, Okayama, where it brews using rice grown entirely within the prefecture and water drawn from springs fed by the Takahashi River, one of Okayama's three major waterways. The kura relies on the traditional skill of Bicchu toji, working from the belief that true local sake comes from a trinity of rice, water and craft. Visitors can join a brewery tour by reservation, typically offered from early December through late March, for a small fee that includes a souvenir.
