A Koka brewery built around slow yamahai brewing, with an on-site cafe and monthly measured tastings.
Mifuku Shuzo has brewed in Minakuchi, Koka, Shiga, since 1917, building over a century of tradition around yamahai-shikomi, a slower, traditional method that yields rich, umami-forward sake. In 2007 the fourth-generation brewer-owner launched a new brand, Sanrensei, alongside the kura's established lines. Mifuku has also opened its doors to visitors, running the on-site Kaoribura cafe and a monthly sake-by-weight tasting counter.
