A Yamagata house born from five merged breweries, now pushing five-stage brewing into sparkling sake.
Founded in 1972 when five breweries in Yamagata's Kitamurayama district merged, Rokkasen brews under the idea of delivering a gentle taste to people's hearts. The house has pushed into five-stage brewing — godan jikomi, an extended fermentation method — as well as sparkling sake, and has picked up repeated honors at competitions including the IWC and Joy of Sake.
