Hakuro Suishu — deep mountain water of Dewa Sanzan, all-Yamagata rice.
Takenotsuyu, founded in 1858 in Tsuruoka at the foot of the holy Dewa Sanzan mountains, brews savoury-yet-clean sake from deep subsoil water and 100% Yamagata-grown sake rice — Dewa Sansan, Yuki Megami and others — under its nationally popular Hakuro Suishu label. A kura shop opened in 2024.
