A Kimitsu house since 1850 on Kururi's celebrated spring water — and Chiba's first whisky license, since 2018.
Sudo Honke was founded in 1850 in Kimitsu, Chiba, where it draws its brewing water from a natural spring in Kururi, named among the Heisei Era's Top 100 Waters. The brewery blends traditional technique with modern equipment, and in 2018 it became the first in Chiba prefecture to obtain a whisky distilling license, launching the 'Boso Whisky' label alongside its sake.
