The Story of 渡辺酒造店

Watanabe Shuzoten brews Hourai in the mountain town of Furukawa in Hida, Gifu. Its sakes have won honours at 56 international competitions, made with Hida mountain spring water and the local sake rice Hida Homare — around 550,000 bottles a year, still brewed by hand. The kura welcomes visitors, with a direct shop open 9:00–16:00.
