Yoro Distillery in Yoro, Gifu, belongs to Gyokusendo Shuzo, established in 1934. Its Peak Whisky supported Japan's whisky boom from the 1980s onward, and in 2018 the company fired its stills again — the first whisky distillation in roughly forty years.
