On Saijo's historic sakagura-dori, one of Japan's three great brewing towns, since 1912.
Sanyotsuru was established in 1912 on Saijo's sakagura-dori, in Higashihiroshima — one of Japan's three great sake brewing districts, with roots going back to the late Edo period. The brewery draws on Saijo's distinctive soft water, guided by the idea that sweetness, acidity, spice, bitterness and astringency should all melt into a single harmonious sake. Its direct-sales shop, open on weekdays and Saturdays, sells the house's range close to where it's brewed.
Junmai Ginjo — best served chilled
Daiginjo — from the Saijo, Higashihiroshima kura
Nigori (cloudy sake) — the house's standard cloudy release
