The Story of 大澤本家酒造

Osawa Honke Shuzo was founded in 1770 in Sakai's Shukuin district and relocated to its current home in Nishinomiya, in the Nada sake district, in 1954. The brewery still steams its rice in a traditional wood-fired kama and uses hako-koji (wooden box koji-making), carrying on handmade methods from over 250 years of brewing. Its lineup centers on genshu — undiluted sake — under the Takaramusume label, sold largely direct from the brewery, which offers tours by reservation.
