播州一献
Since 1837 — 宍粟市, Hyogo
A Yamasaki kura on the Ibo River, brewing Banshu Ikkon from Hyogo-only rice for food-friendly sake — and cider on the side.
Founded in 1837 in Yamasaki, an old castle town on the Ibo River in Shiso, Hyogo, Sanyohai Shuzo takes its name, Banshu Ikkon, from the idea of offering a single cup of sake carefully brewed from the rice and water of Banshu (Harima). It uses only Hyogo-grown rice, brewed with soft underground water from Mount Hyonosen, and designs its sake to pair with food. Alongside sake, the kura also produces a cider called Ron Ron. A direct-sales corner is open 11:00-16:30 (irregular holidays), and partial brewery tours are available.
Junmai Ginjo — Hyogo-grown rice, designed as a food-pairing sake
Junmai — very dry, with a crisp finish
