The Story of 千年一酒造

Sennenichi Shuzo has brewed in Higashiura, on the northern coast of Awaji Island, since 1875. The island once supported more than fifty sake breweries; Sennenichi is one of only two that remain. It brews exclusively with water from Mt. Shoki and rice grown on Awaji, aiming for a clean, satisfying sake suited to a fishing town. The sake has won gold at the National New Sake Awards five times, and the kura was rebuilt with support from local volunteers after the Great Hanshin earthquake.
