Since 1872 — 茅ヶ崎市, Kanagawa
The last sake brewery left in Shonan, now running restaurants and shops alongside its Tensei label.
Founded in 1872 in Chigasaki, Kumazawa Shuzo is, by its own description, the last sake brewery remaining in the Shonan coastal region. It has brewed continuously for over 150 years, building its lineup around the Tensei label. The brewery has grown into a small hospitality complex, running a direct-sales shop called Chikashitsu, the Okeba gallery and shop, and restaurants including one serving its own Tensei-branded cuisine.
