A century-plus family brewery in Kuwana, Mie, naming labels after the very rice fields that grow them.
Goto Shuzojo has brewed in the Akao district of Kuwana, Mie, since 1890, run as a small family business for well over a hundred years. The house puts the taste of rice first, brewing its core label Seiun alongside Kubana, made with Yamada Nishiki and Kaminoho rice, and Karegawa, a junmai named for the Karegawa district of Kuwana where its specially cultivated Gohyakumangoku rice is grown.
