The Story of 木屋正酒造

Kiyasho Shuzo has stood in Nabari, Mie since 1818, but its modern fame rests on Jikon, brewed by sixth-generation owner-toji Yukinori Onishi. The name comes from a Zen phrase: bound neither to past nor future, live fully in the now. Fresh fruit character and crystalline transparency have made Jikon one of Japan's most sought-after — and hardest to obtain — labels. The brewery is not open for tours.
