An Osaki brewery practicing 'sake that starts in the rice paddy,' earning national attention for its floral Miyakanbai.
Founded in 1918 in Furukawa, Osaki, Kanbai Shuzo practices what it calls 'sake brewing that starts in the rice paddy' — growing its own rice through to the finished bottle. Its Miyakanbai label is known for a floral aroma and a full, rounded flavor, and has drawn a growing following of sake fans nationwide. The kura sits amid the rice paddies of Furukawa.
