In the fishing port of Kesennuma, Otokoyama Honten brews Sotenden to mirror the blue sky and sea outside its door.
Founded in 1912 in Kesennuma, a Sanriku coast fishing town in Miyagi, Otokoyama Honten brews sake meant to complement the seafood that defines the region's cuisine. Its flagship, Sotenden, takes its name and character from the blue sky and sea of Kesennuma, aiming for a fresh, clean taste that pairs naturally with fish and shellfish dishes. The brewery also produces a honjozo under its original Otokoyama name.
