樹木酒造

木霊

Since 1867 — 松本市, Nagano

A Matsumoto kura since 1867 that ages its sake through the seasons in a forest storehouse behind the brewery.

木霊

The Story of 樹木酒造

Founded in 1867 in Satoyamabe, Matsumoto, Jumoku Shuzo brews with spring water from the Kita Alps and rice grown exclusively by local contract farmers, chiefly the Miyama Nishiki variety. Behind the kura stands Morikura, a forest storehouse where sake matures naturally through all four seasons. The name Kodama — an echo, or tree spirit — reflects a wish for sake that reaches people quietly and surely, like a voice carrying through the forest. Visitors can tour the kura and the Morikura by reservation.
