The Story of 五島列島酒造

Goto Retto Shuzo, founded in 2009, is the only honkaku shochu maker on Fukue Island in the Goto archipelago. It uses 100% Goto-grown two-row barley and only the spring water of the Nanatake range — one of Kyushu's hundred famous waters — and took the grand prize at the Fukuoka Regional Taxation Bureau sake appraisal in 2012. Tours are available.
