Six island kura united in 1984, on the birthplace of barley shochu.
Ikinokura Shuzo was born in 1984 when six breweries on Iki Island — the birthplace of barley shochu — joined into one cooperative kura. It brews honkaku barley shochu in the traditional island way, rice koji with barley, using only water drawn on Iki itself. Tours are open 9:00–16:00.
