An Akaiwa kura since 1919 whose household motto — "day is sun, night is moon" — gives its sake the name Jitsugetsu.
Komiyama Shuzo has brewed in Sukusa, Akaiwa, Okayama since 1919, under a motto that doubles as its brand name: "day is the sun, night is the moon — drinking Jitsugetsu makes for a good household." Carrying forward a predecessor who devoted his life to the kura, this small brewery holds to sincere, unpretentious sake-making, aiming simply to please the people who drink it.
