Daina — food sake from the waters of the Nasu plain.
Kikunosato Shuzo, founded in 1866 under the old trade name Horyusha, chose its site for the mineral-rich waters of the Nasu plain — subsoil flow of the Naka River. Its Daina label, launched in 2004, is brewed for the table from Tochigi rice — Gohyakumangoku, Miyama Nishiki and Yumesasara — in deliberately small, quality-first volumes.
