The Kunizakari house of Handa, opening its 180-year history at the Sake no Bunkakan museum.
Nakano Shuzo, founded in 1844 on the Chita Peninsula in Handa, Aichi, brews Kunizakari, the region's defining local sake. For its 150th anniversary in 1994 it opened the Kunizakari Sake no Bunkakan, a sake culture museum where visitors can walk through the brewery's history and craft, with tastings offered. The house also makes umeshu and the fruilia line of fruit liqueurs.
