The Story of 浦野

Urano was founded in 1886 in what was then Sanage village, in Toyota, Aichi, taking the name Kikuishi from Sanage Shrine — honoring a natural rock formation on the sacred Mt. Sanage nearby. The kura has kept to hand-made brewing for roughly 140 years and has won gold medals at the National New Sake Awards in multiple years, including 2013.
