A Hitachiota kura founded in 1830, its name fusing the founder's own with the posthumous title of Mito's reforming lord.
Goretsu Shuzo was founded in 1830 in Hitachiota, Ibaraki. The brewery holds to the belief that 'sake should be dry,' using hard water to produce bold, characterful dry sake. Its name combines Go, from the founder's own name, with Rekko, the posthumous title of Tokugawa Nariaki, the reforming lord of the Mito domain.
