Since 1855 — 境町, Ibaraki
An Ibaraki kura whose brand name is a philosophy: let sake's virtue accompany life's joys and sorrows alike.
Founded in 1855 by Fujiemon Fujiwara, this brewery is now led by its sixth generation. Its brand, Tokumasamune, takes its name from a philosophy: savor sake in happy times, find comfort in it in sad ones, letting the virtue of sake accompany the full range of life. Its sake has won gold at Japan's National New Sake Awards and reaches roughly 1,000 stores across Ibaraki, Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Tochigi and Gunma.
