The Story of 櫻田酒造

Founded in 1904 in Suzu, on the tip of the Noto Peninsula, Sakurada Shuzo is best known today for Taikei, a sake brewed to the image of the flavor its toji (master brewer) most wants to drink. The brewery's older, locally beloved labels — Hatsuzakura and the liqueur series Noto no Chiisana Sake, made from honjozo genshu and junmai bases — are currently suspended from sale. Sakurada remains a small, community-rooted kura in one of Ishikawa's most remote brewing towns.
