150 years in the heartland of the Nanbu toji tradition, with a hall built for tasting.
Asabiraki was founded in 1871 in Morioka, Iwate, and has brewed for more than 150 years in the historic home of the Nanbu toji guild. The kura has won numerous gold medals at the National New Sake Awards, and its sake — made with Iwate's water and rice — is well regarded both nationally and abroad. Visitors can tour the kura and browse its Jizake Busankan retail hall.
