The Fushimi giant behind Shochikubai — a brand born in Nada in 1920 that Takara carried worldwide through fermentation science.
Takara Shuzo traces its brewing origins to 1842. Its flagship label, Shochikubai ("Pine, Bamboo, Plum"), was born in Nada in 1920 and passed into Takara's hands in 1933. Guided by a philosophy of harmony with nature, the company draws on fermentation and biotechnology to brew across styles, and now sells in several dozen countries worldwide. Public factory tours are not offered.
