A 130-year-old Katsuragi house that turned plum liqueur into a national name, without losing its sake roots.
Umenoyado Shuzo has brewed in Katsuragi, Nara since 1893, building on more than 130 years of technique while pushing into new styles of drinking. Its Aragoshi liqueur series has carried the brewery's name nationwide, alongside a core sake line topped by Junmai Daiginjo Katsuragi and the reserve Hizo Daiginjo. The brewery welcomes visitors with a direct-sales shop, guided tours, and hands-on plum-processing experiences.
