The Story of 光栄菊酒造

Koeigiku Shuzo was revived in 2019 after lying dormant, relaunched in Mikazuki, Saga by former NHK producers Kusagaki Satoshi and Tashita Yuya, with Yamamoto Katsuaki as toji. Its Snow Crescent label — named for Mikazuki, whose name means 'crescent moon' — has quickly built a nationwide following, part of a new generation of small, independent kura.
