Since 1875 — 小城市, Saga
A 150-year-old Ogi brewery whose Meiji- and Taisho-era kura are registered national cultural properties.
Tenzan Shuzo has brewed in Ogi since 1875, drawing clear water from the Gion River, fed by the Tenzan mountain range. Several of its buildings, including Meiji- and Taisho-period kura, are registered as national tangible cultural properties. Guided by the idea of fueki ryuko — holding to tradition while continuing to change — the brewery makes its namesake Tenzan alongside two other well-regarded labels, Shichida and Iwanokura, and marked its 150th anniversary in 2025.
The brewery's flagship label, built on Tenzan mountain water and Saga rice
